Molestation

INTRODUCTION:

                                                           Molestation literally is an act of teasing someone in an unpleasant manner. Though molestation is taken for granted by most of the parents in sub continent, it's a tragedy that most of the cases of children molestation in south asian countries are always either not reported or taken for granted. In most of the cases victims are too reluctant of telling their parents about such a filthy activity happened upon them in fear of getting scolded by the parents. According to a survey conducted by the UN most of the child molestation cases are reported UK, SWEDEN and CANADA respectively.

MOLESTATION IN SOUTH ASIA:

In South Asia, one of the biggest reason of non reporting of child molestation cases is that the molesters are mostly the close relatives or friends or teachers of the children. for example in some of the cases reported in recent times, the data shows that most of the times, molesters are either cousins or uncles of the victims or the teachers/tutors of the children. The most horrific part of it is that despite knowing and seeing the change in behavior of the victim, the parents did really talk to their children about the reason behind such change.

VICTIMS OF MOLESTATION:

The victims of molestation are not necessarily girls or little kids, many of the reported cases shows that the victims were adult boys having feminine touch in their personality and also a major number of molestation victims are transgenders are who are probably the most neglected and ridiculed gender in SOUTH ASIA.

EFFECTS OF MOLESTATION:

For years, we've been taught at schools, colleges and universities that the youth of any country is backbone of it. To some extent it's a fact but when a kid or an adult is molested and he is being forced by whatever reason to not to report such molestation, his mental health is destroyed, his confidence is shattered and resultantly such kid or adult turns mere into a shallow body of meat and bones having no will to do something or achieve any goal or to even have a life. A study shows that in most cases which goes unreported the victims were molested a number of times again and again by different molesters and eventually most of them started taking drugs and ended their will of living a happy and illustrious lives. ANOTHER major side effect of molestation gone unreported is that the molester becomes brave and the animal in him incites him to do such malpractice with other children too.

 

ERADICATION OF MOLESTATION:

There are some measures which can be taken by the governments and the authorities in order to make sure the eradication of such malpractice and social evil from society. 

FIRST OF ALL strict legislation is needed by the parliament of SOUTH ASIAN countries and prevention of molestation laws should be passed on priority basis unanimously and such laws should be enforced by a separate executive body which will be responsible only to enforce these laws and aware the public through social media and mainstream media about the evils of molestation.

SECONDLY, the usage of internet and should be regularized by the state so that free and blind usage of internet may prevented.

ALSO the detailed material about molestation with pictorial illustrations should be the part of syllabus of every class till at least higher secondary school.
